Mavic Crossmax Pro Carbon 27.5 Boost MTB Wheelset 2019
It costs much more to build an XC wheel with carbon than with aluminum, but racer feedback tells us the performance doesn't always live up to the cost.
That's why Mavic engineered the Crossmax Pro Carbon to be significantly lighter and laterally stiffer than alloy, but to also have the same impact resistance and, most importantly, enough vertical compliance to achieve the ride quality synonymous with the Crossmax name.
Mavic pushed their exclusive Finite Element Simulation software to the limit to find a carbon layup that would best balance these attributes. To ensure compatibility with the most common XC tire widths (2.1 to 2.35), they created a 23mm wide front rim for stable tire sidewalls under hard steering forces, and a 23mm wide rear rim for optimal power and acceleration. It is UST compliant for improved traction, puncture resistance and convenience, and the rim is sealed with specifically designed tape. Asymmetric rims balance the spoke tension, using 24 double-butted steel spokes to achieve that sweet spot between lateral stiffness and vertical compliance.
At only 1450g in 27.5'' and 1510g in 29'', the Crossmax Pro Carbon meets the demands of pro racers who have ridden them to World Cup podiums. The hubs are compatible with standard (15x100 and 12x142, both convertible to quick release) and Boost dimensions (15x110 and 12x148).

We aim to provide efficient delivery on all packages to mainland UK addresses. There are some areas where we will need to charge slightly more due to postage costs such as Highlands & Islands, Southern Ireland & Isle of Man.
Delivery is charged at £5.95 for standard delivery to UK mainland (see below for exceptions). Next working day delivery available for £6.95 if order before 1pm. Bikes are subject to £10.00 carriage charge. Exceptions can be found below. E-Bikes are subject to £30.00 carriage charge due to higher weight and value involved for insurance purposes.
Free delivery is available for orders over £75 and is a 2 working day service.
Orders placed before 12pm Monday to Thursday will be shipped the same day for next day delivery. Orders placed after 12pm Thursday and onwards will be shipped on Monday.
DUE TO THE CURRENT HIGH DEMAND, DELIVERY TIME FOR BIKES IS 7-10 DAYS. ALL PARTS AND ACCESSORIES ARE STILL 1-2 DAYS.
We use DPD for all our shipments:
DPD offer an excellent delivery service, with full tracking information and an hour time slot given on the day of delivery. You can also change the destination of your parcel, including local drop off points.
