Easton BSA68 30mm Bottom Bracket
Easton Bottom Brackets have been developed for use in combination with the new Easton EC90 SL crankset. Bottom Brackets are an essential part of the bicycle that is often overlooked and forgotten, but Easton saw the BB as another opportunity for performance gains and improved efficiency. Typically with any bearing there is a tradeoff between protecting the bearing internals for longevity and bearing seal drag which impact efficiency.
For the new BB Easton have developed a seal that achieves a very low level of seal drag while still retaining excellent protection qualities. Their in-house testing procedure included developing a 24 hour continuous water invasion test, essentially pouring water into the side of the spinning bearings for an entire day continuously. And the new seal proved to have excellent contaminant exclusion. Combining those results with extensive real-world testing, Easton are confident of the seal's performance and overall BB durability while being impressed by the overall efficiency. They then used a new thinner and low viscosity bearing grease and modified the percentage of grease fill to again find the perfect balance between durability and minimized running friction. Easton found that a thinner grease, with the correct fill level, was more durable than a thicker grease when spinning at high speed. A thicker lubricant under the centrifugal force would be thrown to the outer bearing race where it would stick and not return to the inner race under lower speeds, leaving it susceptible to increased operating temperatures and higher wear. If you're running the best crankset on the market, you should have the performance BB to match.

Free delivery is available for orders over £75 and is a 2 working day service.
Orders placed before 12pm Monday to Thursday will be shipped the same day for next day delivery. Orders placed after 12pm Thursday and onwards will be shipped on Monday.
DUE TO THE CURRENT HIGH DEMAND, DELIVERY TIME FOR BIKES IS 3-5 DAYS. ALL PARTS AND ACCESSORIES ARE STILL 1-2 DAYS.

RETURNING ACCESSORIES
The goods must be returned within 14 days from the day they are received/signed for.
Goods that are unsuitable, ordered by mistake or size errors must be returned at your cost in their original condition along with all packaging intact & paperwork intact and in a re-sellable condition, in these cases postage costs will not be refunded. If a replacement size is needed by yourself there will be an additional £3.95 delivery charge. If returning goods within the 14 day policy, you are under a duty to keep them in your possession and to take reasonable care of them until they are returned.
You should retain proof of postage until we inform you that the returned items have been received safely by us. We will not take responsibility for lost mail unless a signature has been attained for the item at Sprockets Cycles.
DAMAGED GOODS
If your goods are damaged in transit, we need to be notified of the damages within 24 hours of delivery to set up a claim with our courier company.
Items that are damaged or delivered in error are subject to the same basic conditions & expectations, however, should any claim for the above be valid, we will promptly refund any postage costs.
Please ensure you send a legible cover note including your receipt & contact details with all returns. This will provide clarity on the reason for return of the item & speed up the returns process.
*Unfortunately, exchanges or refunds are not allowed if the Goods have been specially made to order, personalized or altered to fit. These items do however come with their applicable warranty periods.
