Veloeye Bike Security Sticker Kit

Veloeye is a simple and inexpensive high visibility tracking system for bike owners. This kit contains all you need to set up your bike with the Veloeye service.

How to use Veloeye:

  1. Apply one of the Veloeye tamper-proof stickers
  2. Download the free app
  3. Scan the sticker on your bike by waving your smartphone camera over the code
  4. The sticker and bike are registered with the Veloeye central system
  5. That's it!

Status matters

GREEN = Everything is fine in your world. Your bike is safe.
RED = Bike is stolen. Time to inform as many people as possible.

Following registration, your bike status is automatically set as green. You will receive a thankyou message to say you are registered. Should the worst happen, and your bike is stolen, you set the bike status to red.

How Veloeye Works

Technologically speaking Veloeye is a centralised service. It works a bit like this:

  • The database stores the information from the smartphone apps (scanned by the customer) - Veloeye stickers are linked with bikes and owners.
  • If a scan is performed on a registered sticker (and the owner has not flagged it as stolen on their app interface) then a green bike status notifies the scanner that the bike has been registered and is not stolen.
  • If a stickered bike has been reported stolen, the owner can flag their bike as stolen using their app. This will then send a notification to Veloeye. We will share this information with the Veloeye community.
  • If a stolen bike is scanned then a red bike notice will prompt the scanner to notify the owner of the location of the bike. The location is sent back to the owner with the map location and the time of scanning.

Data integrity

The Veloeye idea is simple, but they take data very seriously. Veloeye allow users to sign up for free and will charge only for the sticker pack (which covers the material costs and the running costs of the Veloeye servers). However, they will:

  • never transmit data about any owners, their addresses or personally identifiable information through any of the user interfaces upon which Veloeye is developed.
  • ensure all data which is stored in the Veloeye system database is encrypted and decrypted so no plain text information is stored for any of our users records.
  • never store any credit card information about your orders.
  • never request personal information after the initial registration process on this website or through the official Veloeye app platforms.

All data transmitted over the Veloeye platform is encrypted over industry standard SSL channels, so transmission of your data between the app and the server is also encrypted.

Customer reviews

We aim to provide quick and cheap delivery on most packages to mainland UK addresses, there are some areas where we will need to charge slightly extra due to postage costs such as Highlands & Islands, Southern Ireland & Isle of Man.

Delivery is charged at a flat rate of £5.95 for all orders under £75, and free for all orders of £75 and above.

Orders placed before 12pm Monday to Thursday will be shipped the same day for next day delivery. Orders placed after 2pm Thursday and onwards will be shipped on Monday.

Bike Orders placed by 12pm Monday to Thursday are usually shipped the following day, in some cases it may take an extra day. Any weekend orders are shipped on the Monday.

We use DPD for all our shipments:

DPD offer an excellent delivery service, with full tracking information and an hour time slot given on the day of delivery. You can also change the destination of your parcel, including local drop off points.

*Saturday delivery can be arranged at extra cost, please call for details.

SHIPPING EXCEPTIONS & SURCHARGES

Unfortunately due to the policies of our chosen shipping companies we regret that we will have to apply a separate charge to selected postcodes in the UK for some of our packages. If we need to apply this charge we will contact you after your order has been placed and work out the extra shipping charge. We do ship outwith the UK, please contact us for prices and options.

RETURNS

We are confident that you will be very happy with the products you purchase from us but if you do change your mind we offer a 14 day money back guarantee on all online purchases except in the one circumstance listed below*. This period begins the day your order is delivered and ends 14 days from the day you receive your order and applies only to the conditions below.

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched you should phone or e-mail us as soon as possible. We can be contacted on +44 1563 526800 or via e-mail to info@sprocketscycles.com.

If you wish to return an item that has already been received, please call or e-mail where a member of our staff will be happy to advise you and guide you through any item of the returns process.

RETURNING ACCESSORIES

The goods must be returned within 14 days from the day they are received/signed for.

Goods that are unsuitable, ordered by mistake or size errors must be returned at your cost in their original condition along with all packaging intact & paperwork intact and in a re-sellable condition, in these cases postage costs will not be refunded. If a replacement size is needed by yourself there will be an additional £3.95 delivery charge. If returning goods within the 14 day policy, you are under a duty to keep them in your possession and to take reasonable care of them until they are returned.

You should retain proof of postage until we inform you that the returned items have been received safely by us. We will not take responsibility for lost mail unless a signature has been attained for the item at Sprockets Cycles.

DAMAGED GOODS

If your goods are damaged in transit, we need to be notified of the damages within 24 hours of delivery to set up a claim with our courier company.

Items that are damaged or delivered in error are subject to the same basic conditions & expectations, however, should any claim for the above be valid, we will promptly refund any postage costs.

Please ensure you send a legible cover note including your receipt & contact details with all returns. This will provide clarity on the reason for return of the item & speed up the returns process.

*Unfortunately, exchanges or refunds are not allowed if the Goods have been specially made to order, personalized or altered to fit. These items do however come with their applicable warranty periods.
