Giro SwitchBlade MIPS Helmet

The SwitchBlade MIPS™ is an ASTM downhill-certified full-face helmet with a removable chinbar, so you can easily switch to rowdy when it's time to descend.

Everything about the SwitchBlade is optimized for the descent, and that's why it's certified to CPSC, EN-1078 and ASTM-1952-DH with and without the chinbar.

The chinbar is easy to remove - just push the buttons under the chinbar, rotate up, and take off, and its just as easy to reinstall. Another boast-worthy feature on the Switchblade MIPS™ is the Roc Loc Air DH fit system, which has a bumper around the dial to prevent accidental adjustments if your helmet contacts your backpack or neck brace, all while keeping you cool.

When the chinbar comes off, Wind Tunnel cheek pad ventilation adds even more cooling power as you start to climb. Plus, the full-cut style gives this helmet an aggressive look and provides ASTM certified coverage even when the chinbar is removed. When your ride is all about descending, your helmet should be too, and the SwitchbBlade MIPS™ is the only removable chinbar helmet that is truly built for the down.

Roc Loc Air DH Fit System - This revolutionary fit system adds a new dimension to helmet performance by enhancing cooling, as well as fit comfort and stability. Using a patented design that suspends the helmet just slightly off the top of the skull, Roc Loc™ Air DH allows cool airflow to pass directly over your head, further enhancing the performance of vents and internal channeling that exhaust heat out of the helmet. Fit and feel adjustments mimic the Roc Loc 5, allowing you to easily custom tune fit tension and fore-aft tilt of the helmet in seconds using a single hand.

MIPS - All Giro helmets are designed to reduce as much energy as possible while meeting and exceeding stringent safety standards. The goal of Giro's MIPS-equipped helmets is to reduce rotational forces. Giro believes that helmets equipped with this technology can reduce the amount of rotational force that may be transferred to rider's brain in certain impacts.

In-Mold Construction - In-Mold Construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet's impact-absorbing foam liner. The fusion process allows for better ventilation systems, making in-mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.

Ventilation - Giro helmets are developed utilizing our proprietary Wind Tunnel ventilation system. This elaborate design combines active vents in the helmet's shell with exhaust channels inside the helmet that thrust fresh, cool air over and around the rider's head while forcing heat and stale air out. It's the most effective cooling system available, and a difference you can feel every time you ride.

Hydrophilic Padding - The Hydrophilic Pad can absorb up to 10 times its own weight in water, helping you manage sweat while riding. The pad retains moisture to prevent sweat from dripping into your eyes, and then dries quickly. The antimicrobial, X-Static lining helps to reduce odor, keeping your helmet fresh.

P.O.V + - Giro's P.O.V. Plus visor features an adjustment mechanism that lets you move the visor up and down in indexed steps. These steps include three riding positions plus a high position for goggle storage above your brow. The design allows you to easily adjust your visor with one hand while riding.

We aim to provide quick and cheap delivery on most packages to mainland UK addresses, there are some areas where we will need to charge slightly extra due to postage costs such as Highlands & Islands, Southern Ireland & Isle of Man.

Delivery is charged at a flat rate of £5.95 for all orders under £75, and free for all orders of £75 and above.

Orders placed before 12pm Monday to Thursday will be shipped the same day for next day delivery. Orders placed after 2pm Thursday and onwards will be shipped on Monday.

Bike Orders placed by 12pm Monday to Thursday are usually shipped the following day, in some cases it may take an extra day. Any weekend orders are shipped on the Monday.

We use DPD for all our shipments:

DPD offer an excellent delivery service, with full tracking information and an hour time slot given on the day of delivery. You can also change the destination of your parcel, including local drop off points.

*Saturday delivery can be arranged at extra cost, please call for details.

Unfortunately due to the policies of our chosen shipping companies we regret that we will have to apply a separate charge to selected postcodes in the UK for some of our packages. If we need to apply this charge we will contact you after your order has been placed and work out the extra shipping charge. We do ship outwith the UK, please contact us for prices and options.

RETURNS

We are confident that you will be very happy with the products you purchase from us but if you do change your mind we offer a 14 day money back guarantee on all online purchases except in the one circumstance listed below*. This period begins the day your order is delivered and ends 14 days from the day you receive your order and applies only to the conditions below.

If you wish to return an item that has already been received, please call or e-mail where a member of our staff will be happy to advise you and guide you through any item of the returns process.

RETURNING ACCESSORIES

The goods must be returned within 14 days from the day they are received/signed for.

Goods that are unsuitable, ordered by mistake or size errors must be returned at your cost in their original condition along with all packaging intact & paperwork intact and in a re-sellable condition, in these cases postage costs will not be refunded. If a replacement size is needed by yourself there will be an additional £3.95 delivery charge. If returning goods within the 14 day policy, you are under a duty to keep them in your possession and to take reasonable care of them until they are returned.

You should retain proof of postage until we inform you that the returned items have been received safely by us. We will not take responsibility for lost mail unless a signature has been attained for the item at Sprockets Cycles.

DAMAGED GOODS

If your goods are damaged in transit, we need to be notified of the damages within 24 hours of delivery to set up a claim with our courier company.

Items that are damaged or delivered in error are subject to the same basic conditions & expectations, however, should any claim for the above be valid, we will promptly refund any postage costs.

Please ensure you send a legible cover note including your receipt & contact details with all returns. This will provide clarity on the reason for return of the item & speed up the returns process.

*Unfortunately, exchanges or refunds are not allowed if the Goods have been specially made to order, personalized or altered to fit. These items do however come with their applicable warranty periods.
