Effetto Mariposa Eau De Carogna

When using double-sided adhesive tapes, cleaning of the surfaces is paramount for a proper adhesion. For cycling, Cyclocross in particular requires a perfect gluing performance, only achievable when both rim and tubular surfaces are clean and ready: enters Eau de Carogna tubular base tape primer!

Not all tubulars are created equal, and the material and finishing used for tubular base tape can vary a lot among the different brands. As far as Carogna tubular tape is concerned, this variability is not a problem if tubulars are inflated at high pressure and mounted correctly (read more here).

In cyclocross, due to the very low inflating pressures, extra care should be taken.
Cyclocross tubulars of the main brands (Clement, Tufo, Vittoria, Dugast, FMB, Challenge, Schwalbe…) have been glued and raced with success with Carogna tape, but the base tape ability to 'stick' can be largely altered by transportation, storage, humidity and cleaning products, especially with unprotected, natural cotton base tapes.
Eau de Carogna is a gluing primer, preparing the tubular base tape to properly and quickly bond to Carogna glue: one less thing to worry about, preparing cyclocross wheels for race day (read how to properly glue you cyclocross tubulars with Carogna here).

Eau de Carogna is not needed for road applications (given the higher pressures, ideal for a pressure-activated adhesive tape) but might be an additional guarantee for cyclocross and other off-road practices, where tubulars are inflated at a much lower pressure and totally rely on the glue strength for their functioning.

Orders placed before 12pm Monday to Thursday will be shipped the same day for next day delivery. Orders placed after 2pm Thursday and onwards will be shipped on Monday.

DUE TO THE CURRENT HIGH DEMAND, DELIVERY TIME FOR BIKES IS 7-10 DAYS. ALL PARTS AND ACCESSORIES ARE STILL 1-2 DAYS.

DPD offer an excellent delivery service, with full tracking information and an hour time slot given on the day of delivery. You can also change the destination of your parcel, including local drop off points.

RETURNS

We are confident that you will be very happy with the products you purchase from us but if you do change your mind we offer a 14 day money back guarantee on all online purchases except in the one circumstance listed below*. This period begins the day your order is delivered and ends 14 days from the day you receive your order and applies only to the conditions below.

If you wish to return an item that has already been received, please call or e-mail where a member of our staff will be happy to advise you and guide you through any item of the returns process.

RETURNING ACCESSORIES

The goods must be returned within 14 days from the day they are received/signed for.

Goods that are unsuitable, ordered by mistake or size errors must be returned at your cost in their original condition along with all packaging intact & paperwork intact and in a re-sellable condition, in these cases postage costs will not be refunded. If a replacement size is needed by yourself there will be an additional £3.95 delivery charge. If returning goods within the 14 day policy, you are under a duty to keep them in your possession and to take reasonable care of them until they are returned.

You should retain proof of postage until we inform you that the returned items have been received safely by us. We will not take responsibility for lost mail unless a signature has been attained for the item at Sprockets Cycles.

DAMAGED GOODS

If your goods are damaged in transit, we need to be notified of the damages within 24 hours of delivery to set up a claim with our courier company.

Items that are damaged or delivered in error are subject to the same basic conditions & expectations, however, should any claim for the above be valid, we will promptly refund any postage costs.

Please ensure you send a legible cover note including your receipt & contact details with all returns. This will provide clarity on the reason for return of the item & speed up the returns process.

*Unfortunately, exchanges or refunds are not allowed if the Goods have been specially made to order, personalized or altered to fit. These items do however come with their applicable warranty periods.
